Kim Munson - Monotype
Kim Munson is an interdisciplinary artist based in San Jose, CA. Currently she is working with printmaking and drawing, and exploring themes related to nature, conservation, and animal behavior, especially among crows and ravens.
Kim is experienced in the arts not only as an artist, but as a teacher, educational program manager, and marketing manager for arts organizations. She has developed and managed printmaking programs at nonprofit arts organizations. Previously, Kim was the Print Center Manager at the San Jose Institute of Contemporary Art (SJICA), located in San Jose, CA, where she also taught printmaking workshops, and she was the Marketing Manager and Education Coordinator at the Pacific Art League, in Palo Alto, where she also spearheaded their printmaking program and taught classes. Kim offers private and small group instruction, and welcomes invitations to teach.
She received Bachelor’s Degrees in Studio Art and Marketing from Santa Clara University, Santa Clara, CA.
Kim is an active member of the MPC Printmakers, a fine art print organization based in Monterey, CA. She is also a member of the Silicon Valley Artists' Collaborative (SVAC), based in San Jose, CA.
