I have two monotype prints in this group show, running from May 3 - 27, 2012. Below is the press release followed by the gallery postcard.
“Kindred: Connections Through Printmaking”
MPC Printmakers at Felix Kulpa Gallery
The MPC Printmakers present “Kindred: Connections Through Printmaking,” a stunning and thought-provoking exhibition of new work at the Felix Kulpa Gallery, Santa Cruz, May 3-May 27, 2012.
This group of emerging and professional artists explores aspects of kinship using new and traditional methods. Images range from the abstract to the familiar, and include etchings, woodblocks, screen prints, monotypes, photoetchings, and mixed media prints.
Since 2005, the MPC Printmakers (with support from Monterey Peninsula College) has provided a forum for sharing work and ideas. They seek to advance the understanding and appreciation of fine art printmaking with workshops, lectures, exhibitions, and the sale of unique prints and hand-printed cards.
Membership in the MPC Printmakers is free and open to all fine art printmakers. For more information, check out their website: www.mpcprintmakers.org
Meet the artists at the opening reception, Friday, May 4, 5:00-9:00pm at the Felix Kulpa Gallery, 107 Elm Street, Santa Cruz. Gallery hours: Thursdays-Sundays, 12:00-5:00pm and by appointment. 408-373-2854. Free admission; wheelchair accessible.
